Double sided cloth tapes are made of highly aggressive solvent dissolved rubber adhesive coated on a cloth backing. This double sided tape is super high strength tape specially designed to be used in printing industry for flexo block mounting in printing press. This tape is coated on both side with approx 100 GSM adhesive and supplied with heavy white or hawana brown paper liner.

It is used to fix rubber printing blocks (stereos) and plates onto the press cylinder or carrier sheet, mostly in corrugated box printing. The cloth backing makes the tape strong and stable under press pressure. When the job is over, the plate can be peeled off and the tape replaced.
Use cloth tape for rubber blocks, solids, text and line work on corrugated board. Use cushion (foam) mounting tape for fine half-tone work, because the foam absorbs pressure and keeps dots from spreading. We supply both, so tell us your print job and we will suggest the right one. Stick the tape to the back of the block first, not to the cylinder. Start from one edge and press it down with a hand roller, working outward so the air escapes ahead of the roller. Then peel the liner and place the block on a cylinder that is clean of old ink and adhesive. Trapped air shows up as weak print spots, so take an extra minute here.
It is made to peel off without leaving marks. The rubber adhesive does build its bond with time and press heat, so peel it slowly and at a low angle, and do not leave a block mounted far longer than the job needs. In our internal test the tape holds up to about 100 °C, which covers normal press-room heat.
