How it Manufactured?
Double-sided tape is manufactured using an adhesive layer to each side of the carrier material. Also, double-sided tissue tape can be ripped very easily. The main procedure of manufacturing double-sided tissue tape includes applying adhesive to two sides of tissue paper which will be wound with silicone paper for avoiding sticking to itself. Most of the adhesive tapes are manufactured in log form. As in a large 1 to 3-meter wide roll, after that adhesive tape converter can be used for slitting the rolls into their required width.

Double-sided tissue tapes are lightweight tissue tapes that are coated with rubber-based adhesives. It is similar to double-sided paper products that provide more stability & comfort than other adhesive transfer tapes. Double-sided tissue tapes are recommended for covering & laminating light objects like paper, textiles, cork, plastic, etc. It is made from non-woven tissue paper that is coated on both sides with hot melt rubber adhesive or acrylic adhesive for different adhesion & application.

Applications

Yes, this is one of its main uses. Converters laminate our jumbo rolls onto foam, felt or EVA sheets and then die-cut them into pads, gaskets and shoe parts. Pick the adhesive by the end use: hot melt for a strong first grab, acrylic if the part will see heat or needs to last for years.
If your team applies the tape by hand, order slit rolls, such as 24 mm x 40 m. If you laminate, die-cut or slit tape yourself, order jumbo rolls in 510 mm or 1020 mm widths, which cut down on joins and waste. Other sizes can be made to order. Cold makes the adhesive stiff, so it does not flow into the surface and grip. Rubber-based hot melt feels this the most. Keep the rolls and the parts in a room-temperature area for a few hours before use, and press the tape down firmly. The tape is fine once it warms up.
Keep the rolls in their carton, in a cool and dry place, away from direct sun. Store them flat on their side, not standing on one edge, so the roll does not dent or telescope. Use old stock first, because adhesive tack slowly drops with age, especially in hot godowns.
